The Home Stretch

Okay boys and girls. Here's the latest.

I began making the rod iron gate and 4 crows total. The gate will be painted black once it's finished. My 4th fine feathered friend will be perched upon Pumpkinface's left hand to demonstrate the bewitching power of Halloween characters, at least over crows and other such loathed & wretched creatures.
Below you can see the crow on his finger but I have yet to add feathers.

Mr. Koo Koo Kachoo was a bit shy while showing off his tighty stripies. His coat will actually cover that part of him but I thought I'd civilize him and make him respectable.

And finally, Scruffy has her frame (unpainted). Now all she needs is to be holding that candy prop.

Thanks for reading! More to follow...

More Details

So here's the minuscule amount of work I got completed over the past week.

I added vines and some crows to Pumpkinface's yard. I'll be adding one or two more crows and a fallen rod iron gate as I continue.
I cut and painted each leaf, more will be added.
Also, here you can see the base sculpt for the crows. They were made in SuperSculpy Firm. Their legs are wires I placed in them while sculpted so they could have a sturdy mount attached.
Then I glued fine feathers on and will paint them black.

Mr. Koo Koo Kachoo has his coat and wall. The wall needs some clean up and I need to add some striped underwear so he isn't perched up there going commando. Below him you can see the broach and flower accents to his costume. I also plan to add some landscaping to his diorama. I still need to finish painting him and his hands, too.

Scruffy now has some black stripes on her tail and I've poofed her chest out a bit more to give her a more filled out form. I'll touch up her ears as well. She now awaits her halloween sucker and to be mounted in her display frame. Meow.

More to come...

A Bit More...

Hi. I spent today painting and moving closer to completion on these pieces.

Mr. Koo Koo Kachoo is painted up and is getting his sitting wall set up. I used real plaster for the mortar and the bricks themselves are cut from floral foam, then will cover them with resin.

Pumpkinface has gained his fully painted head and now sits waiting for the completion of his yard. You can see the bird skull in the yard. I am presently working on the crows that will sit on the fence.

Scruffy has a mount epoxied into her back but not much more progress. They will all get a final paint job.

Updates...

Here's the state where these latest pieces sit awaiting completion.

Mr. Koo Koo Kachoo now has a face and eyeballs. I got him ready to suit up in some spiffy duds! for now we'll leave him sitting in his birthday suit. At this stage he's still getting his painted make over, but is coming along quite nicely.

Next up is Scruffy. With her new claws she's ready to fend off any approaching danger. I also added some whiskers. I'll add the final candy prop soon and then mount her in a frame.

Finally, PumpkinFace now has his yard. I will be adding leaves, pebbles and other debris within the yard. Also, the crows will be sitting on both sides of the fence.

Doesn't look like much, does it? Well here he is lit up.  I have not completely painted his head yet. I just put it together to see how he'd look. The colors will be a bit darker and rougher.

That's all for now. I will post more as soon as I can breath again.
